Document Tags
Document tags are customizable fields that contain file-related information. The data specified in these fields is also searchable. To defined these fields, from the Documents Screen, click the drop-down to the right of Edit Room button. select Document Tags from the menu.
The example below shows the Data Types:
- List (selected): This will display the Default Values box, which allows for the input of values to choose from in dropdown list on the file details.
- Date: This will display a calendar to select a date on the file details which allows for a date input.
- Text: This will display a text box on the file details which allows the input of text.
Show to Users:
- Yes, This will allow users to see the specified data in the information pane or make it available to search if search is turned on.
- No, This will allow Administrators to see the information and make it available for searching and/or reporting purposes.
Setting Document Tags
If document tags have been set up for the data room, the tag information can be set during the upload process.
To set Document tags on existing files, select the file(s) in the file pane to be edited and click "Edit File(s)". Choose the DocTags tab and set the tag information.
Click "Save" to keep your changes, or click "Close" to close the window without saving.
