File Move / Copy

The ability to Move or Copy Files within the same room or to another room that you have administrative privileges for is coming soon.  Please check back with us for more details as this is released.

Source:

This is the list of folders and/or files that have been selected for copy or move.  The x to the right of each folder or file line allows its removal from the current copy/move job.

Destination:

This is the destination room and folder for the files that are being copied or moved.  This screen shows where the selected folders/files are being moved or copied.

Document Settings:

The settings that will accompany each file in the move/copy are specified here.

  • Security Level and Sections: The current security level(s) and section(s) can be retained, or they can be overridden with a single new security level and designated security sections.
  • Document Tags: (only applies if Document Tags are being used) If files are being copied/moved to a different room, document tags will be automatically removed.  If files are being copied/moved to the same room, the document tags can be retained.
  • Ignore Duplicates? and Overwrite file if exists?: A value of "Yes" in the "Ignore Duplicate" field will cause the move/copy session to ignore any folder/files that already exist in the destination folder with the same name and file size. A value of "No" in the "Ignore Duplicate" field will cause the move/copy session to add identified duplicates. If duplicates are not ignored, then the value in the "Overwrite file if exists" field will determine whether or not the existing file will be replaced or the new file will be appended with a number.
